Event Details: Kickoff on June 6, 2026
Frontier Days officially begins on Saturday, June 6, 2026 with two signature events that capture the spirit of the Old West:
Bringin’ In the Herd Cattle Drive: Start your day early as cowboys drive approximately 50 head of cattle from Millsap to the Posse Grounds. It’s a thrilling, family-friendly spectacle that celebrates Parker County’s ranching roots. Participation is free and open to those who want to join the drive on horseback or watch the action.
Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo Parade: Later that evening at 6:00 PM, the streets of Weatherford come alive with the 79th Annual Parade. Expect horses, wagons, floats, marching bands, and plenty of Western flair as the community celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with hometown pride. Lineup begins at 3:30 PM.
Following the parade, enjoy a street dance in downtown Weatherford to keep the celebration going.
The Full Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo Week
The excitement continues with the PRCA Rodeo performances from June 9–13, 2026.
